Military House
The records are unclear as to who built this house in 1909, but the Foundation purchased it from Colonel Dean Elmer and his wife Elaine in 2012.
You will find military memorabilia displayed here. West Douglas County Legion Post & Auxiliary 188 and Pioneer Conservation Trust also have their offices and meeting rooms in the Military House.
Railroad Town
In a garage behind the Military House you will find scale models of pioneer and current churches in Evansville. You will also find scale replicas of the Great Northern Railroad Depot and the unique coal chute that were significant landmarks from Evansville’s days as a busy railroad town.
