Log Cabin
Once the barn for the animals was up and crops were in the fields, it was time to turn attention to more suitable housing for the family.
The log cabin at the Evansville Historical Foundation was moved from the Selmer Holte farm in 1999. The home is furnished with antiques and items of the period. The house was built near Lake Ida around 1879, then moved to the Selmer Holte farm near Brandon, Minnesota.
