Evansville Historical Foundation

Preserving the Past for the Future

The Evansville Historical Foundation (EHF) was founded by Alf Thompson with the purpose of preserving the history of Evansville and the surrounding community for current and future generations to enjoy.

EHF maintains offices in the original Thompson family home, and features a Pioneer Village - eleven historic or period replica structures complete with displays, photographs, and artifacts from the community’s colorful history. Pioneer Village is open to the public 10:30 to 3:00 Monday through Friday, from April 1 through October 31. November 1 to March 31, the EHF office remains open on Tuesdays, from 10:30 to 3:00.

EHF also maintains archives to provide a wealth of information on the history of Evansville, and available as a wonderful resource for those interested in genealogical research. Whenever you visit the Evansville area, take some time to experience all that Evansville Historical Foundation has to offer. You will find it to be a unique experience and time well spent.

Evansville Historical Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit institution, and gifts are tax-deductible.
